EXIF Data Stripper
Your smartphone embeds invisible GPS coordinates inside your photos. Strip them out instantly, 100% losslessly, and safely within your browser.

Why You Need an Offline EXIF Scrubber
Protect your privacy and optimize image sizes at the same time.
Total Privacy
Smartphones embed exact GPS coordinates in photos. This tool finds and deletes that data so you don't leak your home address online.
Lossless JPEG Cleaning
Unlike other tools that re-save your image and ruin quality, we use direct binary ArrayBuffer editing to pluck out the EXIF segment without touching the image bits.
Deep EXIF Viewer
Before deleting anything, see what your camera embedded. View firmware versions, focal length, aperture, and raw hexadecimal tags.
Instant Batch Mode
Drag in a whole album folder. Scrub 50+ photos instantly and download them neatly organized in a ZIP file.
0 Server Uploads
This isn't 'cloud processing'. Everything runs locally on your browser CPU via WebAssembly/JS. Your files are physically incapable of being leaked.
Smaller File Sizes
High-end DSLRs and iPhones can embed Megabytes of metadata (like depth maps and thumbnails). Stripping this drastically reduces your final file size for the web.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I strip EXIF data?
Whenever you take a photo with a smartphone, it usually embeds the exact Latitude and Longitude GPS coordinates. If you upload that original photo to a blog or forum, anyone can download it and see exactly where you live or where the photo was taken.
What does Lossless Scrubbing mean?
When you use a normal editor to remove metadata, it decodes the image pixels and re-compresses them into a new JPEG, making it slightly blurrier (generation loss). Our tool literally slices the EXIF data chunk out of the binary code natively, meaning the picture stays mathematically identical to the original.
What image formats are supported?
Lossless scrubbing is supported for JPEGs (.jpg, .jpeg) because of how their APP1 markers are structured. We also support fully scrubbing PNGs and WebPs using the Canvas fallback method.
Can I selectively keep Copyright tags?
Currently, our tool does a total 'nuke' approach: it removes ALL App markers (excluding JFIF/ICC profiles) to guarantee absolute privacy.
Are you sure the photos aren't uploaded?
Yes. You can test this yourself: disconnect from the internet (turn off WiFi/Ethernet) after the page loads, and the tool will still work perfectly.
